As a company, we’re always looking for new ways to give back to the local community. When we got word that the Camera Club from the Park Ridge Senior Center was in dire need of a new computer system and VHS player, we heeded the call and decided to pony up some early Christmas presents. Back in early November we hosted a largely successful Park Ridge Computer Recycling Event that netted us a boatload of equipment ranging from desktops to laptops to screens and other odds & ends.

Well, to make a long story short, we ended up with a working desktop computer system and a still-working VHS player that were not quite worthy of being recycled just yet. After a little time spent refurbishing both devices back to good working condition, we decided that they could indeed use a new home, and that happened to to be the local Park Ridge Senior Center Camera Club.

On November 27, 2012 we made a short surprise visit to the club’s regular meeting and dropped off both items to a welcoming crowd. We gave a short introduction of our company and the other community events we host in regards to classes, and ended up answering some technical questions club members had regarding their own personal computers.

In the end we found it not only a great chance to give some working equipment a new home, but also a way to give back to the Park Ridge that we call home for our small business. We hope to further extend our relationship with the local Senior Center and offer some complimentary technical classes at later dates.
